Discover our Story
Lacata Dairies was founded in 2016 by Laban Tanui and Caroline Tanui with 10 pedigree cows imported from South Africa and a bold vision for modern dairy farming. Within the first year, the herd doubled to 20 cows after successful breeding, laying the foundation for steady growth.
By 2024, the farm was producing 2,000 litres of milk daily and had earned a strong reputation in Eldoret for breeding high-quality heifers. Today, Lacata is driven by a clear goal — scaling production to 10,000 litres a day while maintaining excellence in animal care and sustainable farming.
